SPRING for fresh flowers

Nothing says SPRING like fresh flower arrangements. I know Spring is playing hide-and-seek with many of you, but it is in full force here in L.A., and the flowers are out to prove it...

The farmer's markets are brimming with all of my favorites, including the always beautiful PEONIES....

I'm a big fan of using just one type and color of flower in a full bouquet:

But there are so many fun ways to make beautiful, mixed bouquets, as well....

Mason jars are probably my favorite vessel - simple and down-to-earth:

But why not go bigger with a chemex coffee carafe?!

Dahlias always add a sense of fun to a bouquet....

And the magnolia is a beautiful classic:

So have fun with it!  If you can get your hands on some fresh flowers, it will be spring at your house, whether it's 80 degrees or... (ahem)... 30.
