Nothing brightens a room quite like a pop of color. But PINK? Yes, people. Pink. It's unexpected, and can add a major sense of fun and whimsy.

I love this library/den/dining room. We've obviously got a book-lover on our hands. The old (claw-foot) wooden table is pretty serious, right? But the addition of those modern tulip chairs, with bright pink cushions, absolutely make that room. The contrast is fantastic. It wouldn't be nearly as interesting without them.

This one has a crazy mix of styles. Those traditional crystal sconces and the flower-patterned rug are completely thrown off (in a good way) by the ultra-modern, steel wire chairs in chartreuse (similar here) and the light pink wall. I mean, who thinks of these things? I probably wouldn't have, but who knows? Stranger things have happened.

Here we have less of a statement, but a statement nonetheless (I kinda love that sentence). It's not very often that someone goes couch shopping and has the vision (and the balls) to invest in a salmon pink sofa. But that's exactly what they did, and in my humble opinion, it totally works.
Here is a super bright pink that has major impact in this light-filled bedroom:

I love the mid-century console, the pale gray duvet and the light, zebra-patterned rug. And I'm always a fan of a Sputnik light fixture. Everything just floats amongst the bright pink walls, and there's a great collection of pillows to tie it all in. Dig it.
This pale pink wall is a nice backdrop for a chic collection of framed art:

I love the gray wood floors and the brass Etch Shade Pendant by Tom Dixon. That black sconce is awesome, too. Reminds me of a Praying Mantis.
I've been loving this chair since I first spotted it on Pinterest months ago:

How cool would that be in a nice white room with a mostly muted color palette?
And here's an updated mid-century office chair that rivals all others:

That color looks amazing against the bright blue. I also love the way they color-coordinated their bookshelves. It's not always practical, but it always looks great.
Now, check out this genius paint job:

I am totally using this! Doing the whole room in one color (today's fave, pink!) and then color-blocking with a contrasting color in one corner just looks so cool. I've also got my eye on that plexiglass nightstand. Love it.
And lastly, the creme de la creme of pink popping (did I just write that?):

Art Deco loveliness. Beautiful art (in bright pink, orange and navy) hanging above a black-lacquered credenza, with brass and white accessories. I want to go internet trolling for more pictures of that house. I'm sure it's a visual candy store.
Take a risk! Add a pop of pink and let me know what you think. I have a feeling it'll make you very happy.
